forensic consultations

  • I provide forensic evaluations in both neuropsychology and psychology. My evaluations are evidence-based, comprehensive, and tailored to answer the legal referral questions posed by courts, attorneys, and agencies.

  • My primary specialty lies in conservatorship evaluations, including Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS), and Murphy conservatorships. These evaluations assess an individual’s ability to a person’s ability to care for their basic needs and consider the impact of serious mental illness, neurological, or neurodevelopmental conditions.

  • I have been appointed to criminal cases in which a neurological or neurodevelopmental condition has been raised as a potential factor. These evaluations explore how conditions such as traumatic brain injury, dementia, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or autism spectrum disorder may impact judgment, behavior, memory, or the ability to participate in legal proceedings. My expertise helps courts and legal teams understand the intersection between brain functioning and the law, ensuring that complex neurocognitive issues are accurately represented in the justice process.

  • In civil contexts, I provide evaluations for personal injury, disability claims, and other matters where questions of cognition or mental health arise. For example, following accidents, head injuries, or medical conditions that may affect functioning, my evaluations help clarify the extent of cognitive and psychological impact. These assessments can support legal proceedings, inform settlement discussions, and provide objective data to guide fair outcomes.

  • Across all forensic work, my goal is to provide objective, evidence-based, and clearly written evaluations that address the specific legal questions at hand. I combine clinical expertise with an understanding of the legal system to deliver reports and testimony that are clear, reliable, and useful to decision-makers. Services are offered on a private-pay basis or through direct contracts with retaining parties such as attorneys, agencies, or the court.
